Because 2 wheel drive.
And - they weren't very popular back then - therefore not that popular now. Except to a special, more advanced breed of truck connoisseur.
Man I would love to drop one on a modern truck frame.

Ummm, ever hear of the Porsche 964? You know, the one Singer loves. It was a very unloved car. Hell, the speedster version sometimes took 3 years to sell from new. Just because something WAS unloved, doesn't mean that is true now.
