Mazdatrix 1st gen rx7 aluminum race radiator – short style (oil cooler mounts underneath).

The Good: -Mazdatrix 4 pass radiator – new ones are $300 from Mazdatrix - Never used

The Bad: - Rad cap sealing surface on filler neck is damaged – see pic. The radiator cap won’t hold pressure. It will need a rad shop to weld in a new filler neck, or use some method to restore the sealing surface.

The Other: - Mounting flanges are trimmed and holes drilled for mounting to the stock shroud (rad comes with blank flanges) – the cuts are kind of rough, I had to move it around a fair amount trying to get the lower rad hose to clear the engine mount, and it shows. - The lower rad hose connection was modified by a radiator shop to angle out like a stock radiator instead of straight out, because I could not get a hose to clear the engine mount with the straight out connection.

Basically, this thing fought me multiple ways, mainly fitment in the car, and once I sorted all that out, the overflow tube nipple came out of the neck and the threads were damaged, so I drilled out the hole and JB welded it back in place. Unfortunately, I knicked the sealing surface for the radiator cap with the drill bit – that was the final straw for me with this radiator. I am sure a radiator shop can buy and weld in a new filler neck. And there may be a simpler way to repair the sealing surface with JB weld or similar, but that will be for the next guy to figure out.

Asking $50 plus shipping.
