Original owner - I wonder if he was one of the few who actually changed the oil on his car? Looks like he cleaned the engine compartment, which is a positive sign.

I'm starting to consider a Saab wagon. Are parts for these cars getting hard to find yet?
I get most of my parts from eeuroparts. The only thing so far that I couldn't find (temporarily) was a set of coolant hoses to throw away the stupid coolant bypass circuit.
If you're looking for one, like with any Euro car the key is finding one that has been maintained, especially oil changes, using synthetic. Top valve cover has about 130k, and spun a bearing due to sludge.This is after scraping all the chunks out and using a bunch of cleaner. Bottom valve has 175k, 5k OCI with Mobil1 .
