The bad
Has a weak (but drivable) drivers head gasket. (this is a common subaru problem, only symptom is an oil leak from the head gasket)
Trans flairs on highway speed downshift (IE; if you punch it to pass someone) Not a sudden onset, been stably doing it for 40+k miles. New fluid and filter might fix it. Been driving around the problem, if you dont punch it on the highway, it doesnt do it.
Bit of rust starting (see photos)
AC has a leaky fitting, so doesnt work.
Needs full exhaust system. Currently missing exhaust from the resonator back. Suggest new everything.
Has CEL for O2 Sensor. Probably needs new Cat as well (just replace whole exhaust...)
The CD player in the radio doesnt work.
The bulb that illuminates the speedo at night is out.
Windshield is cracked.
The Good
Tires have good tread
KYB shocks a few years ago (suspension is good)
Brakes replaced with good parts semi-recently
Interior is pretty clean
Has been DD reliable despite issues.
AWD
Apparently the automatic wouldnt be too much of a detriment for Rally-x\
Only one minor accident (mom slid it into a telephone pole softly near the fuel filler)
Mom bought it new, I bought it from my mom.
Just got too long in the tooth to continue being the family primary daily driver.
