I put one in my Spitfire, just takes a year or so to complete the entire drivetrain swap
I get the whole drive train thing. That may be the easy button.
BTW, I have been following your build thread. You are the man.
Thanks, yeah, I have been slowed down lately due to weather, busy fall and I am working on an overly rich condition right now that is keeping me from moving forward. Drive train swap is not the easy button on Spitfires because unless you replace everything, the next Spitfire part is the weakest link. I'll know by early Spring if was all worth it, but pretty sure so far based on initial test drives. These 6 speeds are pretty nice, they really are not too big for the Spitfire, but you have to be happy with the different shifter location as unlike the 5 speed trans, cannot be easily moved. In my case, I was happy with it further back, but that meant I had to move the emergency brake back, shorten the cables...........
