if I was in the market right now (aka if I had money)... it would be perfect... I've got my eye on a friends miata, saving money right now... needs a top... pick this up... take the top... part the rest... heck just sending it to a junkyard would put the $$$ better than the price most people around here are wanting for even an ugly hard top...

It's tough to say, work has me shovelling 16 tons at the moment. I'll send you a pm when I get home from work tonight.
I sent a PM last night around midnight, I don't know if it made it to you.
Anyway, I should have a day off this weekend, but I don't know if it will be Saturday or Sunday and I won't know which until the preceding Friday. So, I should be able to make it out there to look at it this weekend.
Hardtop can be flipped for a quick $500+. If it happens to be in great shape, maybe $850.
At that point...enjoy the heck out of the miata until something breaks. Mileage isn't a deterrent to me, nor is simple rust at the four corners.
It did not make it to me, but I can't get ahold of the guy anyways. Not to mention money is a bit tighter than I'd like right now so I really shouldn't be exploring this. But red hardtop! It matches!

I know what you mean. We're road-tripping to Disney in about two weeks so on top of the tickets, hotel and such that I've already paid for we didn't get the meal plan this time since it would have actually been more expensive, so there's another $1,000 or so in food for that week and NOW is the time when I keep finding good deals on cars!
I daily drove one with 383K on it. I enjoyed it
