So a belly tank is just a fuel tank. They were often converted into hot rod bodies back in the day.
That clearly has an added rudder, a pretend pilot and a cowl. I wonder if this was a prop of some sort. It actually looks pretty well done. I'm not sure how big it is, but this could be really fun.
In line motorcycle engines or some tiny, narrow framed thing?
The belly tank cars I've seen are shorter and fatter, wonder if Woody's here is a torpedo, hence the rudder. Most have two rudders and two horizontal stabilizers.
A lakester... in Smithtown? I used to live just a few miles from there, really not a place I'd expect to see anybody building a land speed car. I see no evidence at all of running gear anywhere in there. So my guess is all that's been done is adding the cowling.
It's a wingtip tank from a F-104. Cool stuff.
