So let me get this straight, if I'm too cheap, lazy, busy, full of excuses to build my own 20XX challenge car I can just fly or bum a ride to Challenge and buy one to drive home!!!
Who has what for sale and how many $ approximately, assuming they don't meet their demise in a dazzling ball of flame.
Yes that's right! I plan to drive my Challenge car 800 miles one-way there. Depending on how early money exchanges hands, you could even get a chance to race it.

I'd go home without my RX8 for the right deal:
My RX8 for sale
It will still have working AC, a radio, and a full interior, so it wouldn't be a bad ride home!

Have to ask....I live in north Georgia (25 miles north of Atlanta). What year is the car? Does it have CEL on? I live in an emissions county.

The car is a 2004.
It currently has a CEL because it does not have a functioning cat, and still has the rear O2 sensor. It did not have a CEL before gutting the cat.
In the RX8, the rear 02 sensor is not a wide band sensor. It does not provide info for the computer to recalculate engine tune based on a comparison between the front and rear sensors. Only the front sensor is wide band. So, the rear sensor ONLY tells the computer if there is a functioning cat, and trips a CEL if there is not.
Options: Replace the cat, or hire someone with an AccessPort (or equal) to turn off the CEL being tripped by the rear O2. It's literally a 10 minute job with the software.
The cat was partially clogged, and costing performance, so I took the easy route and gutted it. Common problem on the RX8.

No need to buy a Challenge car. There's plenty all around that can place mid pack with no effort. Take my Miata from last year. I bet that I'd taken it to Macco for a $200 paint job i would have placed higher than I did spending 50 plus hours on the suspension. I bought the car and parts for $860 iirc.
I'd let my purple Q45 go for $2016.
Edit $2017 for next year and yes I'd make you give me the $17.
