I figured I'd give you guys a crack at it before I post it elsewhere or part it out.

Up for sale is my 2003 Saab 9-5 Linear, 2.3L with the automatic. It has 126k on the drivetrain, and it runs and drives. I'm trying to break even on what I have into it, and it would be a great parts car or weird Challenge/Lemons/Chump project. I do have the title as well. Here's what it looked like a few months ago:

And here's why it's for sale:

The Good:

-Most of the exhaust system is new (cost me almost $200 for that alone)

-Interior (well, most of it) is in nice shape

-Drivetrain is solid, with recent turbo and other parts

The Bad:

-A tree landed on the rear quarter and roof. Look at the pics.

-Has rust in the doglegs, but it's fixable and the least of its problems right now

Car will come with extra parts, like tune-up stuff, extra interior bits, etc. I just want it gone. Email Address is a.sestitojr at gmail dot com if you are interested. Thanks!

Ouch, that sucks. What turbo does it have? 2.3 with T7 engine management, right?

In reply to Robbie :

It has the small turbo, and I'm not sure if the 2.3 has T6 or T7.

It should be T7 with the smaller turbo.

I sent this to a friend who races a 9-5 wagon in Lemons and lives in southern NH.

Thanks! I know that wagon. The black Aero, right? I love that thing.

Bumping this up before I start parting this thing out. I need it gone before the snow flies, one way or another.

Add a little room behind the driver's seat.

Bump, he still has this thing. Someone please buy it so I don't have to help him scrap it.

If a front-cut of this thing magically appeared in my driveway I would quickly find $300 to hand to whomever was dropping it off. Alas, the distances involved seriously hamper the deal, and it would be just stockpiling the list of 'ill get to that next year' projects.

but seriously, a 2.3l turbo saab + auto + ecu + subframes/suspension/etc is like exactly what I need for the rear end of my saab truck.

Are you looking to start parting it out?  If so, let me know, I'm starting to emerge from my cave and think about working on my broken Saab collection.

Still, I vote for the transporter as the obvious best solution to your problem devil

In reply to XLR99 :

At this point, parting it out seems like a good idea. There doesn't seem to be much interest in it whole, and I have no interest in making it a hauler or anything like that.

Looks like a solid demo derby candidate... Part out the stuff you don't need for derby, enjoy the derby, scrap the remains.

You'll need to log in to post.
