Craigslist Dude said: An unusual car with a 3.8L V-6, and a 4-Speed manual transmission. It shows age and usage. The engine has a noise, but is still surprisingly strong. Offers will be considered.

Guys, this might just be one of the rarest A/G-Body GM cars ever. The Century Sport Coupes were super rare, and the take rate on a 3.8L V6/4-Speed Manual combo must have been even lower, making this probably the only one left. In 1979, you could get this with a 3.8 Turbo, but not with a stick. Add to the fact that it's a bench seat car, and, well...

HOLY MOTHER OF WANT!!!!!!!!

The bad is that the front passenger side headlight and turn signal is missing, but that's a minor detail, because I'm pretty sure those parts were shared with the Regal and the 4-door models.

Someone buy this and stab in a 3.8 Turbo!!!!

There's a reason that those cars are rare. It looks like a Citation on Prednisone.

I also kinda want it, but damn... I'm with Woody on this one. Holy cow is that ugly. I'd take it around to D.A.R.E. events as an example of why drugs are bad. "See kids? Folks in the 70's did a lot of drugs. This was one of the results. Design good looking cars. Not cars like this."

As I opened the thread I was surprised by the bench seat (not buckets) and even more surprised to read manual trans.

Wow. Even though I have no desire to buy it, I agree that's cool. I do remember seeing one or two of them back "in the day".

I'm a big fan of the "slantback" A/G Body coupes. I think they are different, in a cool sort of way.

The 4 door ones though... woof. My aunt had a 1978 Cutlass 4-door with the 260ci boat anchor when I was a kid. It was ugly and always broken.

Back when new, my oldest sister had this same brown 1978 Cutlass Salon with tan vinyl buckets.
It was cool for the time.

While it would ruin any collector value, box flares would turn this car into a winner.

Don't bank on Regal trim matching up. I don't think regular cutlass supreme trim matched on my Cutlass Salon, but it has been a long time since I had that car. Remember, the rear windows don't roll down either.

Ha. There were two of the Olds slant backs in my family when I was a kid, both sedans. Our '79 Century was a wagon. Brown, of course.

I have a hard time believing this would ever be a collectible. I've never seen a donk version, and those idiots will ruin anything.
