y brother and sister-in-law inherited her grandmothers Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais 4 door a couple of years ago. They drove the car as a daily driver. It now has around 90,000 miles. They are moving from Alexandria Virginia to Tennessee next week and have decided not to bring that car with them. I read the recent thread on Olds here and told him I would post and see if anybody wanted to make a quick move.

The car is in pretty good shape. He feels comfortable driving it when he comes home to Knoxville and it has never let him down (well, one trip the muffler fell off and we did change the water pump while he was here).

I don't have any pictures. Might be a good first car foe a new driver (except for the roomy back seat, if you know what I mean). Contact me at 8six5 591 zero98two if interested in a quick deal.

You are going to need pictures unless the price is stupid cheap.

Just got pictures. Failing miserably at posting them here, I seem to have lost my picturfu. Priced way under $1500, I can text pictures he just took today.

Save this 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera from Carmax. A tan one was made famous in the movie Fargo. "Tan Ciera, Tan Ciera".

Ride this Luxurious sofa down the highway. Comes with Audi A3 all weather floor mats (slightly used)

Live in DC? Mercedes won't let you merge? They will now!

Just give them look like "it's going to cost you more money than me."

Worried about you bumpers being dinged parallel parking on the streets of DC? You wont in this bad boy!

Replaced:

Heater core: Check AC compressor? Check Exhaust? Check Power Steering Pump? Check Oil changed regularly? Check After market radio? installed at a shady place (could be hot) Check All service records after 20,000 miles? Check Safe car that will embarrass you 16 year-old daughter? Check Possible 2017 Challenge Car? Totally would love to see that happen. Check

Going to move quickly. (Probably by the weekend) I will not accept inferior beer such as Natty Bo. I am much more high class and I need something like the King of Beers or at minimum the Champagne of Beers.

Contact original poster with any offers.

So, its a Cutlass Ciera, not a Cutlass Calais.

What if it was the best beer from the largest city in Wisconsin?

So, does it have the 3300 V6? Pic of the engine would be helpful.

Showed this to a buddy of mine who's a GM A-body fanatic. He says he's never seen a '93 without an airbag. Got a pic of the assembly plate, he's curious about the date of manufacture. It might be a late '92 that sat around for awhile before being titled. There were a few changes from 92MY to 93MY.

Any rust?

Seat belts connected to the door was good enough (no it wasn't) to meet the 1990 rule of Passive Restraint.

Have you ever tried them?
It is impossible to use them as intended. You were supposed to leave the belt buckled and then slide in under the belt. Horrible design.

Isn't it weird how you find people who have way too much knowledge about things which matter to nobody?

I met a guy like that who was obsessed with the window etching on y Ford ZX2.

I just buckle and unbuckle seat belts normally and it retracts into the door when getting out of the car. Not a hassle at all. Engine Photos:

I hope this helps.

Had a friend in college who drove a Mercury Topaz with them. That car had a lot of less-than-desireable attributes, and boy was that one of them.

I found the retractable ones along the upper door/window frame worse. I can't tell you how many times I had my head out the window, but needed to open the door for a bit more reach, only to be strangled by my own damn car...

In fairness, that fairly accurately describes everybody here on these forums. Frankly, I'm glad that "1989 thru 1993 GM A-Body" fanatics exist. The world would be that much more dismal and dreary if they all collectively threw in the towel and bought new Camcords.

Rock on, Mr GM A-body fanatic. Rock on, dude.

According to Mr GM A-Body Fanatic, the MY93 3300 had the same heads as the 3800. Hi-Performance!

I drove one of these in High School, a 1990, same color. The transmission had what me and my friends called, "The Magical Mystery Gear". Tooling along at highway speeds, if you matted the gas, it would seeming downshift twice, but not be in 2nd gear. Acceleration was impressive...as was torque steer.

In retrospect, knowing more now, it seems these had a 4 spd auto with OD and lockup. The lockup could be engaged in D or OD, so conceivably that gave 2 extra "gears" for the spinny 3300 (which was a destroked 3800) to work with.

I also remember my parents renting a 4 banger model on a family vacation out west one time. That thing was pig slow, my dad was hammering on it to do 75 mph and getting passed by everybody.
