Had a high top version. Very reliable, but.... Likes front end parts and brakes. If it has rear air, it will give you fits. Drove mine all around the US, coast to coast, north to south.
Probably depends on how much you plan to tow. It should handle a basic open car trailer fairly well.
It's an American small-block V8. It won't always run well or efficiently, but it will pretty much always run and can be fixed with basic tools.
I miss my old ‘87 g20. I never hauled a car behind mine but did regularly haul a heavy old fiberglass I/O without much grief.
