Looked at this last night but it's a bit more of a project than I can take on right now. That said, the chassis appear to be almost rust free (a couple of spots of surface rust that I could find in the battery area, but it's surface only), the seats are in good shape and it runs pretty well, too.
There is a chance that it may be an old Auto-X car, it does look like it's been lowered a bit and the seller told me that it goes better than his other Sonett of same vintage.
Main bits of work I noticed is that it's got a bad paint job and that the fiberglass outer panels on the doors would need repairing.
Man, that's sweet. I like that color too.

Wow!
I love that color too!
Good deal for somebody here. Sadly not me.
I need that! Anyone want to buy a Vette???
In reply to Pete Gossett:
Want to go halfsies and do an epic road trip?
For a road trip, you'll need at least a set of new tires. The ones on the car are cracked from age.

Tempting, but we're a bit too far apart to share a car?

Is it fuel injected?
It has fuel injection...
Where is it? In a box under the workbench?
In reply to Pete Gossett:
Details, shmetails. I haven't gotten that far yet. It is Challenge budget friendly and I need another car like I need another hole in my head. Did you think I was speaking rationally?
In reply to spitfirebill:
I didn't. We had it running and it does need a little work to be drivable as it's stood for a while.

I would have bought it if I had the mental capacity and time for a proper project.

How throughly did you check body . I'm in Philadelphia and would love a rust free donor . I have tons of sonett parts . But have to see shipping cost is gonna be a killer
About as well as one could on a parked car without starting to take it apart. From what I could see the chassis is in pretty good condition...

Sure, what is it going to cost me?

Realistically, even with the rebuilt engine, overhauled brakes, extra set of wheels, spare new parts, and good used parts, it's probably only a $3500 car due to the broken windshield, damage to the 1/4-panel, and worn out Hoosiers.
