So I have been helping a friend find a decent >$2500 Miata and I stumbled upon this gem on Craigslist. It's a little more work than he is looking to do so I thought I would post it here.

Is it just me or does it look like the blower doesn't have a belt on it in the picture of the engine?
Good eye, and not uncommon! Rebuild kits for those blowers are less than $200 if I remember correctly. Not uncommon to have one with no belt because it will run without the blower turning. Not well, but will run!
Assuming the blower needs work, and by the looks of the rest of the car, is $1500 too high? Like, by a good $500 or so? Looks comprehensively trashed from here...
