Over the past 5 years, Hard Brakes has built up a catalog of brake heat shields that cover hundreds of popular stock and racing brake calipers. The heat shields help protect against brake fluid overheating (with loss of braking power) and reduce maintenance from burned caliper seals and dust boots.
We'd like to know which applications you think we are missing so that we can add them to the catalog in time for the upcoming racing season. Please post your thoughts here or email us at < info @ hardbrakes.com > .
No obligation here, we are just looking for where there is the most potential demand. If you'd like to also help us verify the fitment for a new model we could also offer you a discount on an initial purchase for your assistance.
You can see the full list of our existing catalog from the Categories link at the top of http://HardBrakes.com/
Thanks very much for any suggestions!
Nothing for Escort, but i'm not sure if that would fall in your requirement of "popular."
Miata is always the answer - no shields for the early NA cars available.

We've had the profile for the 1990-93 1.6 Miata on the "to do" list for awhile now (Hawk Brake Pad 148). It is such a light weight car that we're not sure the brake heat shields are really needed for most racers of this model.
Would appreciate some input on this, are early Miata racers experiencing fluid-based brake fade or burned caliper seals and dust boots? We've gotten feedback on both sides of this for the other Miata models.

Is the Escort in the ITB SCCA class along with the VW Jetta etc? It looks like that same brake pad profile (Hawk 246) also works for the ZX2 and Mazda 323/MX-3 + Protege.
If any of these cars are common class cars then this could be a good candidate.
