I saw these in person when they were making the rounds of museums with Bellissima! The Italian Automotive Renaissance, 1945–1975. They're really neat.
I think the Alfa museum in Milan had at least one of those, and also this:

I was probably just thinking of the Sportiva then. It's got big fins, but not BAT big. I was there back in September.
