No, no, no...
The ultimate destination is the Race of Gentlemen.
Okay, it's sold so now I can share. We nearly got sidetracked by this flathead, tank shifter Harley. We stumbled upon it at the swap meet this weekend and we were amazed by:
1) How cheap it was, and
2) How easily it started.
$6300!
The ROG welcomes pre-35 cars and motorcycles with suicide shifters.
I can't make it to this, but if you're near Shelton Connecticut this Saturday, you may want to check this show out.
In reply to Woody:
Probably the only way I'd consider a Harley.
I was at a cruise night on Friday and there was a beautifully restored 20's Indian 4 (with the longitude I-4). I had fun explaining to my buddy why its called a suicide shifter, "now see where the brakes are? Where the clutch is? And the shifter? Now imagine operating all of them at once."
I think that term came from the idea of siting at a traffic light or stop sign with your foot on the clutch and the bike in gear. If you lose your balance and have to put a foot down in a hurry, you release the clutch and the bike lurches out into traffic.

and here i was, almost talked out of my insane track-t with paddle shifted v6 power.
i love you guys....
Woody is that Harley a 45? I saw one a month or so ago smoking, only ever seen that one on the road. 6300$ sounds like a steal.
Yeah, it was a 45, but he was listing the year as '56 or something, so I think somebody swapped a Servi-Car engine into a Panhead hardtail frame. Still cool though...
The rear axle originally was filled with 600w (!) gear old, but 83 years later, we're going with 75-140 synthetic.
