Time to send photobucket some money, you have used up your free bandwidth for the month and it's only the 12th. You popular guy, you.

I put photobucket on autopay with the drivabeater series when i was internet famous for a minute. Still paying every month because im too damn lazy and cheap to switch, and i hate all the threada with broken links.

Photobucket got me back when I was working on The Dirty 911 build thread.

FWIW, I use IrfanView image viewer to reduce the size of images for the Interwebs down to 800p or 1024p wide before uploading to Pbucket. For forum posting, not much need for anything bigger.

I highly suggest some other host than photobucket. Imgur is free and significantly better all around as a host.

Also, I second the Rally truck build plan.

Ditch Photobucket and don't look back.

I switched over to Imgur a while back, and it's sooooooooooooo much better and doesn't want to give my computer diseases like Photobucket does.

The problem isn't moving forward, lots of options, it's the almost 1000 photos that are currently linked in my other threads. Still working on it. Thanks for the patience.

I looked at a bunch of options back when I had this problem. A couple of things made up my mind.

One was the thought of moving 1000s of pictures, or having to go through all those threads to replace the links. That wasn't going to happen so keeping a photobucket account was going to happen. I also didn't want to keep up with two accounts.

Two was the ease of use with a phone. I take pretty much all my pictures with my cell phone. Photobucket is just easy. Take picture, send it to PB from the phone (I currently use email), link picture, done. As easy as that. I can shoot a picture and have it linked to a forum in under 2 minutes. It's cheap. About mid January, they pull $29.99 out of my checking account for the year. That gives me 20 gig of offsite storage and unlimited bandwidth.

Yes, photobucket can be a bit of a pain at times. Their current mobile app sucks so I use email to upload from the phone. Their website is decent, and as a paying member I apparently don't get all the crap adds people complain about.

Good luck wading through the image hosting jungle. I look forward to seeing more cool pictures.

I think everything is fixed. Mrs. Deuce assures me the pictures are working again on her end. It'll be a couple months until I start writing and wrenching again, but more cool stuff is coming. I promise.

Heck of a nice truck:) sure you've already considered lenghtning the frame and making a nice dovetail truck for hauling future projects.

Glad to see the pics are working.

I think the obvious answer here is a flatbed wrecker with a giant cap on it that can serve as a sleeper after you unload the car.

Well, it's obvious to me anyway....

Not sure if this is appropriate for the thread as it's a quick PhotoChop that I did a while ago, but a combination Ford and VW Bus makes for a kinda neat COE.

I'm a huge fan of the VW trucks, even if the engines are in the wrong end to be a proper cabover.
There's been enough playing around with VW vans in general that you get a feel for the proportions and problems associated with radically moving the seating position when that position is right over the front wheels.
The good thing about these Internationals is that they seem to be relatively plentiful. I saw two of them sitting in fields on the narrow band of road I drove between South Dakota and Michigan. I'm more about playing with something new than working on the same thing over and over, but it's nice to know that I could easily build a work truck and a lowered street truck and a Dakar style adventure truck if it struck my fancy. Also, anyone who stumbles into this thread now or later might become inspired by photos and ideas that I don't end up following, so I still encourage everyone to throw their ideas out there.

You don't have to wait until the fall to write, just to post. Sitting by the lake w/ a sketch pad and a pen sounds like nice summer days to me, and stuff will be fresh.

I knew this thread would cause me to punch "International" into my local CL. That's a dangerous thing to do.

Oldopelguy has a really cool story about those trucks. I could relate it but he tells it better.

The blue swepty is my 5th crew cab one, and probably the 15th or so swepty. My dad made me take my driving test in one, 23' of manual steering, brakes, transmission, windows, and everything else. The test administrator just shook her head and laughed.

The blue one has a hot 440 in it and no need for a silly oil burner making less hp and torque.
