Nice car, always had a softspot for these. Bring it to Lime Rock 1st weekend in June, for the VSCCA /HRG (Old Volvo Historic series) / Track day event.

Plus one on removing the brake booster. Better pedal feel and less weight, all good. And no possibility of the engine ingesting brake fluid, as I have seen multiple times! Properly built for racing power, the B18/B20 will need the 45mm carbs. Mild street tune will be easier with the 40s. Fantastic score on the Volvo factory air box.
After asking for detailed photos of the bottom of the car up on a lift it all checked out so a flight was booked to northern New Brunswick, CAN to inspect it.
There are some great car enthusiasts in the north of the province. Long winters mean lots of time to get projects done.
I hope you didn’t fly into Bathurst.

Yes, just like in Canada those of us in northern New England have a good 5 to 6 months over the winter to get a lot of things done.
No, not Bathhust, flew into Moncton NB, a very nice city and after the paperwork was done left that day and set off on an adventure back home with an unknown car. Its a reliable old Volvo so it never skipped a beat all the way back.
