This past weekend Mazdadeuce passed the torch to me on the Civic he's been working on for the past year.
He car came to him in good shape overall and it has gone to me in perfect mechanical condition and cosmetics of a 9/10. for a 25 year old car. I'm over the moon with what I got my hands on.
Mazdadeuce gave me the car in this condition

I have removed the stickers and taken off the Wheels and tires for safe keeping in the climate controlled storage of my living room.

Now that I'm ready to star in the fast and the furious I have completed step 1.
I will take soy sauce with my rice thank you very much(yeah........bad joke).
Once I decided on my visual theme I will being going down that road. The car's black exterior, hood already a gray color and square design are getting my wheels turning in a certain direction.

But nothing is decided yet.
Here goes something!

Much appreciated! still trying to figure out how to use the forum 100%
Here is the car Post Step 1
Seeing this thing in pictures instead of my driveway confirms my belief that it NEEDS underbody LED's. Back in the day it would have been legit neons, but apparently the world has moved on.
Programmable LEDs. They make waterproof WS2812 strips these days.
So let me get this straight. Mazdeuce gets rid of cars?
I've been Silent for 5 months...well here's what happened in 5 months.
I took the car to the drag strip a few times to have some fun and play with launching the car
The car nearly got flooded out when I tried to get to work on the tax day flood.
The Civic picked up a new nickname...The Civic Supercar at our local BMW AutoX
I managed to completely MAUL a cone at a TAMU Autox
I went to The SCCA Solo Tour event over the 4th of July Weekendm, at TAMU Riverside annex and had my butt handed to me, But learned a lot.
And then I went fairly silent for 2 months.....
BECAUSE...i had to work my butt off to get my finances in order to go to SOLO Nationals!!
My plans of trailering the car were dashed upon realizing how much gas was going to set me back. So....in a move of PURE idiocy I decided to drive a STS car with no AC, no cruise control and a very loud STS car exhaust to Lincoln...
So I packed 4 wheels and tires....2 loose tires, a tent, sleeping bag, a floor jack and 4 stands, tire sprayer and my clothes into the civic and drove 900 Miles to Nebraska...
After arriving unscathed the real fun began....
Nothing wrong with that. Have car, will travel. Did you bring a crewmember with you or did you truly solo?
FYI, I might want to be next when the time comes.

I traveled alone to and from the event.
I did have a co driver FOR the event though. A fellow Texan had headgasket issues. so I put him in my car!
Awesome!
I really dig this generation of civics now. In my stupid youth(16), I passed on buying one from my brother for dirt cheap because I vocally hated Hondas and did not want to be a hypocrite.
At any rate, yours looks really clean. I'll be following this one

It has always lived its life in the south and so I am very lucky for that! After growing up in Chicago and working on rusted cars...man I love working on non rusty cars in Texas.
I am the opposite, always loved Hondas and I have been in love with this EF since Madadeuce first brought it to an Autox in 2015.
So when he put it up for sale locally i had to say yes!
I'm looking forward to what lies ahead with it!
I wrote an article on my first trip to nationals and buying the car for TrackTuned.com

Read and enjoy!

Prominent placement of GRM sticker on the side too.
I've been so tied up with work that I haven't been on since I Posted that! It's been a pretty crazy month with the article getting traction online and now going to print!
And if anyone wonders if I made a good decision selling the car, he's had it for less than a year and got himself on the cover of Sportscar.

I'm entirely convinced that this generation of Civic isn't a hatchback at all. It sure looks like a shooting brake to me.
It's a damn good looking car regardless...I've always loved the EF chassis more than any other honda Hatchback. I would like to find another one someday to build into a track toy or just a fun around town car. I don't think I can bring myself to cut this one up. It's in too nice of shape and has pedigree in it's current state now!
