Edit: Yes, it's an LSC.
As of now I still do not have possession of the car. The current owner has family visiting for the holidays and said he could sign the title over after the first of the year (2014).
Sorry for the limited number and poor quality of the photos, it's frickin cold out.

It still has air springs and the TEVES braking system and I think it'll stay that way.
Since I plan to repair NOT modify this one and hopefully return it to it's former glory I shall call it Art. Art Bailey Jr. was a fixture on LincolnMarkVIIclub.org and had a seemingly bottomless wealth of knowledge concerning these cars. On top of that he was one hell of a nice guy.
I ordered some bronze t.v. cable bushings this weekend and once I have the car that will be one of the first repairs, the o.e. bushing has failed and it's no longer connected to the throttle body.

It's definitely nicer than of the most cars I've owned!
Wow, that is nice. I've always loved those wheels, too.
The owner just called, I can take possession of it tomorrow!
It's home!!!!
More pics to follow shortly!
Woo Hoo!!
Now when you gonna come give me a ride in your fancy Lincoln?
The Stincoln looking quite jealous and disheveled in the background.
The only rust I've found so far.

If I wasn't switching to 3rd shift for Saturday then back to 1st Monday, I'd head up there tonight!
The brake pedal was VERY stiff and the brakes didn't grab much at all. Other than that I really enjoyed the ride. I love the air suspension!
Aor suspension? Ok, maybe thats not air...

That gif is mesmerizing...
The wife is oh so thrilled about the rapidly expanding Lincoln population!

Hey man, the more the merrier.
I'd definitely fix the bad stuff and then leave it as is. You don't really see many examples like that anymore, especially in white!
If it doesn't already have them, you need to complete the look with a set of Marchals.
Sweet car! Does it have a 5.0?
Those are cool in a geeky way. Nice condition for an Illinois car. I'd just keep it nice and stock and enjoy the ride.

Yep, it's the same engine that was used in the pushrod 5.0 Mustang.
I never thought two cars of the same make and model could be so different as far as driving "personality" goes. The blue one is harshly mechanical and visceral whereas the white one is composed, quiet and dignified. Oddly enough, I'm a fan of both!
That car is so nice!
I remember back in the 80's, Car and Driver did a test of a modified one. I can't remember who built it. Roush, Saleen, ASC or maybe some company that was modifying Merkurs. I remember it was given the 80's monochromatic look and I think it rode on Ronal R9's.
I'd love to see an old Q-ship version of a Mark VII!
It's safely tucked away in the garage now.

That would look cool but I don't want to change anything about the car. I'll upgrade a few of the wear items; t.v. cable bushing, tires, brake pads, fluids, etc. but that's it. I'll exercise my need to modify on the blue car.
I think you meant to say you'll exercise your need to sell things on the blue car....
