I feel like I live for updates from this thread now. Sure hope the VIN-cut key works and they haven't swapped the locks.

It looks like I might need a notarized bill of sale for the state patrol inspection so I went to visit methman after work. I asked him to meet me at the City hall in the town about 5 minutes from his house tomorrow to get it notorized. He told me he would have to try to find a ride into town because he isn't allowed to drive there (after pulling into his driveway in a pick up 2 minutes earlier). He asked if I could give him a ride, which I declined. 
The key will be here Friday!

A T5 engine that hasn't run in a while can take a little cranking... I say two tries or it won't run without tinkering. If it takes tinkering (i.e. parts), then it'll be four tries. :D

If you cycle the key a couple times to prime the fuel system I bet first try. Ive seen worse start better, I mean it ran alright enough to wreck shouldnt be bad..
