Rock bouncers are one of the few things that make me proud to be a human.

Yea massive power usually 'Merican V8 with nitrous, massive axles, massive tires, little to no mechanical sympathy. What is the fastest way up this almost vertical wall? Whats not to love.

Here is a vid of a rock bouncer that uses the currie ifs/irs ford 9's 600hp+ hp, 40inch tires, no mechanical sympathy whatsoever and survives. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EdZJQEY4F0
Holy cow. That makes me proud to be an American.
I almost feel bad for the rig.
Almost.
Watching that thing on those logs....sooo good.

There ended up being a problem with the 6.0l that I had lined up for the build so I picked up this lm7 5.3l from one of our members here (thanks very much and nice to meet you). At some point it will get some arp stuff and a little freshening then a pair of turbos and in she'll go. I'd really like to do an aluminum block ls at some point after the rest is sorted out. Then this one'll go in the crammit. At least that's the plan currently.

The rear will be equally serious soon. You can see a teaser pic in the background of the lm7 pic.
I'm really interested to see what the weight distribution will be like. I've relocated the battery to the back, gotten rid of the frontinner fenders and support structure (repacing with aluminum tie rods to triagulate/adjust the rad support), replacing the oe front skid plate with an aluminum one. I'm relocating the radiator to the back. But the lm7, intercooler and turbos will put some weight back up there. It'll be interesting to see what the irs weighs in comparison to the solid axle. I'm thinking overall it'll be a lateral move but a big reduction in unspung weight. It's getting a fuel cell, and a bed cage so we'll see. I've got a bet with my friend Quinn that I can make it lighter than his ap1 s2000, we'll see if I can win

How did nothing break?

We'll see, s2ks are pretty porky for what they are, whats an ap1, 26-2700lbs? It was a very long time ago when I scaled the truck, but iirc it was 3200Lbs stock. I bet we'll have lost 5-600lbs by the time all is said and done. I've got some scales on order, when they come in I'm gonna weigh the whole fleet and post it up on my build threads.
Weight reduction is always a priority on my builds and this one is one of the more extreme examples of that ethos.
