That looks absolutely awesome! Maybe I missed it, but did you retain the rear wiper functionality?
Just one small thing... Please tell me you're still planning to make all the boards the same length! My OCD is screaming over here! :)
The rear wiper still needs to be wired up but it will be functional.
Maybe I'll trim the boards...
I'll probably trim it with a piece of angle like Tim suggested to cover all the ends.

Looks awesome. Are you going to bring this to the June 15th rallycross?
Probably not. I may bring it down Friday night but for competition saturday and sunday I'll be towing the Miata.
Dig. Well I'm planning to be there both to drive and see how you guys run an event!
Are you really going to be entering an ur-S?
The truck turned out great!
The final video is up and for some reason it is getting a lot of views in the first few days.

Truer words have never been spoken

Based on the comments we are the dumbest people ever and never realized that an A-Traktor was a thing during this whole build. Apparently every 12 year old in sweden builds one in two days and drives it daily.
In reply to EvanB :
Yeah except yours goes more than 20 mph LOL

So, pretty much like everyone who claims the challenge is bs. They talk it down and don’t actually do anything. Sounds like the YouTube comments section hasn’t changed at all.
What's the tailgate setup like, can you open it like a pickup truck or have it swing to the side?
Car looks really good. I like the steel wheels.

It's almost as if you didn't know they existed before the build.

Eventually I want to hinge it to fold down like a typical pickup tailgate. Right now it just lifts off.

Well, the joke is on them because it’s like totally not a tractor. Jeez...

I don't know what I was thinking mentioning them in the very first video of the project before we got started. Silly me.
Damn fine work! Painting looked fun. Sanding? Not so much.

Looks Awesome. I would love to haul bikes in the back of that.

It *almost*looks like you're hauling a mini Flex in the back.
If you upsized the brakes and gave it a bit more power, I wonder if you could make a mini gooseneck trailer to haul a small car. Hmmm.....
Great work!

Sadly, I don't think I have any pictures of the 740 wagon towing the Miata.
The finished video actually popped up in my YouTube recommended. I watched it and thought it looked familiar
Same here, the finished Sweedished video showed up as a YT recommendation. Watched all of them earlier today, then came home and saw this build thread for the first time.
Tailgate: Through sorcery I was too young to understand, our family 1970 Plymouth Belvedere Station wagon could open down like a tailgate, or, if you threw the lever, it could also swing open like a barn door. That sounds like a Binky solution. Dropping on pins like a radiator mount also works just fine. Helluva nice job. Love your can do attitudes throughout.
Looks rockin! Way better finish than the saab.

I also took over a year to do it and there are spots i am disappointed with.
