Today this lil cutie followed me home.
Hard to beat for this price
Rust free, hood was bent so I removed it until I get a replacement
Needs a hood cable and shifter cable, otherwise runs great, 7.3 liters of Ford goodness, and just 312K on it
Interior is in good shape
So far I have given the interior a cleaning and driven it about 8 miles.

I don't think those were that rust free in Michigan when they were a year old. That looks like a fine truck.
Went to pull a part today, got a red hood for $75, it seems odd not looking for a price bargain when shopping for parts.
Installed a fresh hood release cable, the hood and adjusted the shift cable.
Looks a little better, runs just great.

Steve, you realize when most people want a small Ford pickup they shop for a Ranger, right? You sure you're not originally from Texas???
No he's from Australia where everything is bigger than what's big in Texas
F-350's make a really nice pit cart.

F350 quad cab long bed. How Steve defines subcompact.
We adjusted the shift linkages and got them sorted and crisp, did an oil change, fuel filter swap (that was bad, full of rust and in two pieces), added my signature grill, degreased the engine bay and rear end, added a replacement wiper arm and blades, removed the air box and fabbed up a CAI.
Yeah, sorry couldn't find Texas on the map, seems to be smaller than any states in Oz,
What's the latest with Sampson? Is this one an interim truck until the Cummins is in and all sorted?

That about nails it.
I thought Samson was the one being redone? ...
Sampson is in no danger of being forgotten.
The F350 has been running around hauling building debris and equipment, today it ran to Tennessee and back, managed to blow out a front tire tread in the process but otherwise, no issues at all.
That blown out tire appears to have no debt.
When you get Samson on the road and decide to dispose of the red truck, don't lose my number.

Where they have road trains:
We have so far done a 3" body lift, mostly to gain some room to improve the exhaust flow after the turbo. Fabbed up our own CAI out of parts off our shelf. Ordered a used Bully Dog 6 position chip, a replacement coolant overflow tank, replaced a couple of fuses and a relay, repaired a couple of oil leaks due to PO negligence, done a transmission fluid and filter change.
I smelled some burnt wiring a couple of days ago, today it died and wouldn't restart, we did the OEM crank position sensor but this didn't fix it, further delving and online searched revealed the IDM had melted so comprehensively that it left a melted blob on the inner fender. I ordered a SWAMP replacement which is supposed to free an additional 30 hp.
Too date we have also added, 3" a set of 17 " Eagle wheels and used 35" tires, 3" downpipe, gauges and gauge pod, new coolant overflow tank, new batteries, upgraded SWAMP IDM, Bully Dog 6 position programmer, Bully Dog shift kit and a good fluid change.
Any pictures of said lift and wheels?
Bully Dog programmer was broken on arrival, sent it back for refund and went with an Edge programmer, with the display screen and sensors.
I will get some pics this weekend
I also sourced a 96 F250 5.8 auto with...... are you feeling the suspense.... imagine some dramatic music in the background.....
4x4, yeah baby, this one is going 4x4...
Bwahahahahaha, evil doings are afoot
OK, maybe a bottle of red, 3 scotches and apple pie is enough, or a good start
Pixors of 3 inch body lift and wheel/tires as requested
lift your bumpers up it looks like a hillbilly rig now.
