Probably keep it a while and use as an occasional driver while i do the valve cover gaskets on the subaru. I haven’t had a big comfortable car that runs for a while

Patrick said:Does anyone know if ml series wheels fit the e class? Found 17x7.5 for 38 shipped each. Also if you have a car with m12 bolts/studs do you need special lug nuts to fit wheels that came on something with m14 bolts? My research says this e55 has m12 bolts so i got the stud kit and correct nuts.
Im almost positive that'll be a yes but do you happen to have the offset for those wheels? W210 can gobble up some wheels.

Oh okay. I always wanted a silver e55 AMG

That’s true , I had DPE make some 19x11.5 for mine.
Going to pick up the 17” purple crack in the morning. Then once i make sure the wheels i can get fit i will order them.
can anyone answer the m12 vs m14 question on the lug taper size?
I don't "know" the answer, but I'd suggest that you're fine. Non-hub centric wheels flop around until you tighten the lug nuts and everything gets centered. They should just flop a little more and then snug into place like normal as long as you have a big enough seat on the lug nut to get the contact that you need.

True story. Thursday night i made the decision that the Wartburg couldn’t be finished correctly in time and hit CL for a backup plan at 11pm. Search was Lincoln, lexus, infiniti, bmw, mercedes, camaro, mustang, turbo. I was actually hoping for a v8 lincoln LS because i kinda like them. Nothing worthy in Cleveland or Columbus, nothing worthy in Jacksonville, so i went to plan D Charlotte. Car had just been posted, texted dusterbd13 first thing in the morning about it. He sent his number to the seller and within about an hour i got a “going to see it at 3” message. At 3 he called me from the test drive, and i told him make it so. By 4 it was at his house.
Nice buy Patrick. I have been wanting an AMG car lately. Looking forward to this thing at the challenge. Maybe un bolt the axle back exhaust and make it sound mean? A engine diaper may not be a bad idea if you’re going to spray using the big jet.

I'm kinda hurt that I didn't find out until 4:02.
Tires dated 22/17. Even better!
guy was awesome, he crews a trans am ctsv team and rubs shoulders with boris and the like. We had lots of contacts in common, is friends with some of the westside guys, and has a few capri 2.8 engines that he’s going to check on for the sand rail.
best part is there was a grm on the hood of the rx7 in the garage and he was familiar with the 240z and the Wartburg because of the magazine. It was like “hi here’s the tires” then we bs’ed for 2 hours.
Zex nitrous control box tested with air and a battery, good to go. Have some free wiring and relay. I love relays. 6 hoosiers sitting by the tire machine waiting for wheels
Have agreed to pick up 17x8.5 slk amg wheels for $200 with tires after work one day this week to mount the A7 tires on. The plan calls for painting them to work with my visuals
should be a better fit for the 245 tires
Worked late both nights so far, but today the excitement of parts arriving has commenced. Rock auto delivered 16 spark plugs 1 heat range colder than stock for spraying more than a 50 shot purposes and an ignition coil in case plugs don’t fix the random cylinder 8 misfire. Amazon delivered an oil filter, a belt, and some spray leak sealer for just in case. The evap leak code hopefully won’t be a bugger to fix because i will have to pass emissions when i get it home. 3 weeks from right now we’ll have the car in the trailer and probably be in Georgia somewhere
question: which cylinder is number 8 on a benz?
Patrick said:question: which cylinder is number 8 on a benz?
Cylinder 8 is the one closest to the driver, I believe. So rear most driver side cylinder.

Firing order is 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2.
You might want to look this up lmao. But I'm almost 100% positive I'm right.

Thanks! Are you coming to Gainesville or punting to next year because of personal reasons? Really looking forward to meeting you someday
that’s all foreign to me from the 1357/2468 chevy world. I’ll verify when I have time.
Side note: stress level is down significantly since the decision to stop thrashing on the Wartburg was made. Also 17x8.5 amg wheels for $200 guy is available after 1 so hopefully my short work day stays that way and i can grab them this afternoon. Then other than waiting for a few packages it’s go time. I think the folding tire racks for the trailer came yesterday, and Dead_Sled helped me move the boxes of trailer awning over to the trailer on Saturday so I can start putting that together soon. We’re going to have the sweetest rig ever and it’s just for a last minute mercedes this year
In reply to Patrick :
This year I cant make it for personal reasons. Next year I will try to attend but I might be deployed next year during that time frame. We will see, I REALLY want to go.
Please represent for the Benz crowd for me this year. If I attend next year it will be in the s600 with straight pipes.
You'll need to log in to post.
