May not be grassroots, but lots of Corvette guys ditch the transverse leaf spring for coilovers. Should be doable with that setup? (I don't know, but i have seen the underside of a Grand Prix of that era and though about it for a hot second)

blacked out most of the chrome and the mirrors.looks way better to me
Redid one headlight lid but all the tree jizz in the air fisheyed it all to hell
In 80's/90's GM-speak, blacked out chrome would be know as EuroSport

The wife wanted to buy a new Grand Am so I talked her into the SE version - monochromatic paint was a big deal. Car was a piece of crap.

The reatta seems pretty well put together, way better than the typical 90s gm crap.even after 32 years it's a nice solid driver
Shame they couldnt have built all their cars as well

Nice! I look forward to seeing how you go about boost. I've wanted to build up a Reatta, and I still get the itch sometimes. They just snowball really fast. The electronics including the ECM are a bear to work with. The transaxle is not going to hold up to much spirited driving especially with boost. The M62 that bolts on is pretty worthless on a 3.8, so I'd stick to the turbo to make your efforts worthwhile. Lowering would be cool, but I'm not really sure how to do it "correctly". 4T65E swaps are possible, but man is it a lot of work. Be a hero. Put a Cavalier 5-speed in it! They're strong.
As for your braking issues, that too is going to be a treat. Those have a Powermaster just like my GN did. Unfortunately a lot of the rebuild parts stopped being sold a couple years ago, and these are pretty finicky systems. Retrofitting a normal vacuum booster may be less headaches in the long run. Good luck!
TIL that these aren't called 'Regatta'

V6 guy im definetly looking at turbo over blower...the crossover pipe over the trans is begging for a t3 on there. Massive space in front of the rad and condenser for an intercooler then just add bigger injectors and go from there
Or leave it alone and stuff a godzilla 7.3 into a 99 mustang and sell this thing
I have something you don't.
(This thing is puzzling to me, there are no labels at all on the box to indicate what company made it or what kind of features it has. All I know is it's 1/24 scale and it was actually made in the US. I assume it's a promo model that was available from the dealer, since it's fully assembled.)

Might be worth more than mine
Probably just as fast too
What is it about the human brain that as soon as you notice something, you start to see many more of them?
In reply to iansane :
I've heard it called Baader-Meinhof Syndrome. Wikipedia calls it the "frequency illusion."
"Frequency illusion, also known as the Baader–Meinhof phenomenon or frequency bias, is a cognitive bias in which, after noticing something for the first time, there is a tendency to notice it more often, leading someone to believe that it has a high frequency of occurrence."
