My solving of passing will be a camera mounted to the now passenger side rear view mirror facing forward and a display on the dash.

I need an idea on how to figure out crash protection for the inside structure of the front and rear bumpers. I really don't want them to weigh 100 lbs though.
Just found this thread, fellow R32 owner here congrats on the find.
Here is mine: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-projects-and-project-cars/89-skyline-gts-t/88236/page2/
You could get a GTS-T or a GTS for Challenge price in Japan that is more along, since shipping/import/fees don't count towards challenge price. That or similar cars like a Cefiro. I've seen several decent Cefiros at less than $2k. The Skyline GTS-Ts though around that price are needing work but less than what you are doing.

However, that statement is not to be interpreted as a discouragement. Awesome fabrication project. Is this more of a cosmetic job or will it use the GTR drivetrain?R32s are lots of monies landed to the states, unfortunately. Guy i know in TX just bought one, and it was fairly far on the wrong side of $20k landed. Granted, it's berkeleying BEAUTIFUL, but that's like... real money and stuff.
That guy overpaid. You can still get a non GTR in Japan for less than $5k. A GTR for like 12-15k. If he got a GTR he didn't overpay too much but he had better have got the most minty one possible. The shipping and fees are not very much. I paid someone to do all the work for a total of like $1800 so he could have overpaid by $5000 or more. If it's a non-gtr he got wrecked.
He must of went to one of thoes ripoff artist importers. IDK why people buy from them. Maybe years of seeing ovepriced Supras brainwashed people into thinking $20k is a good price for a 90s car.
I get that this is the pet peeve of the day, but i'm not entirely sure how you can come to these conclusions without knowing anything about the car or importation/shipping costs.
