i sold the focus ST for a Fiesta ST. It was too big. touring car. epic daily driver. about the same size as the old Focus SVT's. LOVE my euro ford Dailies.

I have a 2GB front bumper setup in the garage. not sure I'd want to do that. seen pics and not a big fan.

Okkkk. Hydro trans is IN! I stripped one trans mount bolt out. Whooops. Didnt go in right. I will thread restore and try a slightly longer bolt. There looks to be some threads left at the bottom.

I have to now run the hydro line and do the pedal bracket assy and drill for the clutch brake mast cyl. Loolks REALLY FUN.

Slowly doing this in mornings before work and thursdays. Gotta get it on the road asap so i can enjoy it.

I felt bad when no one wanted my hydro trans and it went off to the junkyard. Hopefully someone pulled it there and saved it from the crusher.

UPDATE!!!!! sorry, I was awaiting rare 1.8L axles, and that was a long 10 business day freight delay.

Pedals went in, all lines run, everything assembled:

PHOTO DUMPPPPP:

Clutch/fly check: Perfect

what happened today: -axles installed -complete front brakes installed -test drive -prep rear calipers for thursday install

The trans is SOOOO much better! gearing seems nicer, it's smoother, pedal feel is awesome and softer. there IS a slight grind going into 5th, but the shifter does not rock back n fourth on accel/decel. so, one day I will have to pull it and have new seals and synchros put in. it will be fine for now. I didn't rebuild it, this was straight from a pull yard that checked it before they removed and shelved it.

the brakes....well I DEF stop now! I did some breaking in and one high speed brake slowdown, and they seem to be bedding in fine. this is a HUGE upgrade from stock. no more fade. I should have done this when I did the swap. for sure. Thursday the rear disc conversion goes on. I got rotors today and painted the calipers red. THX so much Chris (89mirageman on the forums) for the conversion, everything looks great. made it so easy for me.

Needs more wing

Seriously though it looks really good.

I know you're going for more of a sleeper look but to me blacking out the door pillars and adding JDM (yo!) fender turn signals would be just enough to really bring it all together. Maybe mild tint job too. Then the wing might not even look so out of place.

Oh, and more cowbell.

I already have black trim paint for the HIDEOUS RED DOOR TRIM!!!! omfg I hate it. its gonna get done ASAP...hopefully thursday. way to ruin the surprize LOL :P. i have newspaper in the back for covering up the roof and door with I spray it. I dunno about side markers...I thought about it, but I just dunno.......still on the fence. the wing is gonna stay off until I get a different front I think. I need to do that grey rear part like whats on the last page. that looks cool. one day I will get a bumper shipped from PR....one day.

In reply to HaveBlue83:

I'll head over and check it out. I don't think i've logged in since 2006 except one time to randomly say hey and ask a few questions about currently available suspension since I was debating picking up a 4G coupe until my current project fell into my lap.

rear discs are on! everything went really smooth, and then I had a grinding noise after a few min....turns out I mounted the E-brake cable too far out, and it contacted the inner wheel lip. scared me pretty good! it only burned through the rubber, thank god. no more crappy brakes and it looks awesome now. wheels def POP now :)

Chris' instructions were very useful. thx man.

bracket on the wrong way lol

annnnnnd the messup:

next up: -ATTEND MOD! (east coast) -fix front main seal/turbo leaks -save up for coilovers from across the water.

Are you going to try and make this thing AWD or is that part being left out?

It'd be true Evo territory then

Few more drives until its parked for the winter. Poor girl! The TOB is screaming...stupid non oem part. Spring will hopefully get me a meth kit, new shocks and some new seals for the small leaks.

Still going strong!

still driving it once a week! I am now looking into 245/45R16's on a 16X8, ET20 wheel. Rota RB.

I just bought 1.5"/2" flares. Hopefully my tax return is 1K so I can make this happen. I need traction. I want meatstance, the sleeper look is getting old with me. time to make some invasive effing cuts into the car and make it aggressive.

the wing is back on. Blame the wing. lol.

I approve of meat stance. That thing is gonna look burly as hell on 245's.... I've got those under my ms3 sometimes, and that thing looks ridiculous, I can't imagine a little peanut like this.

ooooook the car is about to experience another change.....and u guys are gonna like this :)

Some fitting happened today....used a buddies wheels to check offset. This is with a 15x8 et0, 195/45 stretched setup....gay stance kids go to look.

I'm going to be doing a 16x8 et0, 225/50 setup as that's ALL I can get in a 16" meaty tire. US tire options SUCK in 15-17" sizes after this move to 18's. I would prefer a 45 but don't want race tires only. I can run a +10mm spacer for the rear. I will order +10 and see first. I want nice meatstance and minimal rubbing. Flares are 1.5" f, 2.0"r.

The 15x8 shows i need a 16 and more tire for optimum looks and performance.

LOL i would love to do that, but I cannot weld and I would have to have a ton of time and track down a complete 1G GSX drivetrain and have a custom rear subframe made for the rear diff. I think about it a bunch.....maybe AFTER the coils and stance is finished.

change of plans.......last nite the input shaft or the clutch gave up the ghost. I'm guessing the input as the thing hooked hard. I had my buddy in the car with me and hes not a lightweight. lol. shifted into 4th at WOT 6,500, no trans feeling anymore in gear, higer pitched squealing rattle noises. goes in all gears, car doesnt move, sits running IN GEAR engine on.

this is where I think about going to a 1G trans.

this is where I also think about going 1g trans with driveshaft out the back of said 1g trans.

I ain't even mad. I'm obv making enough power to break E36 M3 LOL. poor poor 1.8L trans said NOPE.

it's been running like a raped ape too. 20lbs, timing still at 15deg @3500, 22deg @5k+. 11.0 AFR is decent, no meth, some knock up top if I really push it and its super cold out and it leans out.

I will drop the trans this week after work and see just what I gots goin on lol.

I think that was rhetorical-you weren't supposed to pick option two.

I dont think this option will last much farther into the future but here is some 245s if you want that look.
