I plan on using a similar battery in my car and may steal your design idea.

many factors led to the decision to use Haltech.  Bosch Motorsport and Motec have lost their favorite position for me based on recent experience.  The most important points are software, support, delivery time, etc.

When will this car make its debut at the track?

I had to go so far behind because the original frame was retained despite the bracket/cage.  ( black).  It also didn't work in front of the frame and behind the door panes on the side wasn't that great either.  Airflow must also work.

back on the racetrack for the first time after the conversion?  If everything goes well, I should be finished and ready to drive by summer 2023.

the control unit gets the ideal spot for me.  later, when the cage is assembled, accessibility is ideal.

Everything is self-made or developed and produced together with help.  (e.g. tailpipes and CNC parts)
 

Before you pulled the trigger and got to this point.....what was your lap time at the Nurburging?

I have never driven the Nürburgring.  My routes were Hockenheim, Eurospeedway, Dijon, Anneau du Rhin, Bresse......

for the Nürburgring Nordschleife you must have a street legal for your car as a normal citizen.

Aren't you a normal citizen?.....oh but the vette is way far from street legal eh?   Interesting, so other than a competition event all participants are daily drivers?

I belong to the ordinary citizens.  Nordschleife is driven on either with street legal, or with a racing license if an event of this kind takes place.  I, as a hobby driver with a car that is not street legal, cannot drive there.  this is not possible for insurance and security reasons.  either race event licensed or street legal with public insurance.

The 2nd set of rims is custom-made.  18x11 and 18x13 inch suitable for the GT1/GT3 brake system.  390x36mm discs in front

the rim design is similar to the original GM racing rims from BBS and OZ on the C5-R and C6-R

my friend had sintered the short gear knob from my CAD.  It's a bit too short and thick for me though.  So made again from Delrin itself.

This may be the most developed C5 in existence.

almost nothing is original anymore.  ;-)
