I've done enough wetsanding for a Challenge car that already looks awesome. Let's make it shiny now. Basic strategy is clay bar, then wax/grease remover, Turtle Wax rubbing compound, Meguiar's 105 and finally 205.

I’m no expert and haven’t even played one on tv, but would the claybar be necessary if you’re going to use rubbing compound?

I'm no expert either, just figured it'd be best not to rub dirt into the paint. I really have no idea what I'm doing.

After!
Still some streaks and stipes in the paint, but it's shiny and I'm pretty happy with it!
You should be. It looks AMAZING in pictures.
Not looking forward to seeing you kick my butt in the concourse.
That looks freeking amazing.
Do you want to fly up and polish the Molvo for me? That is one task I just can not bring myself to do.
Pete
Just been knocking out some little things.

Oh E36 M3 I wasn't supposed to post that stuff yet for surprise. Yeah she's a big girl, gonna put the hurt on this VQ. Very new territory for me and definitely a bucket list experience I'm looking forward to.

Oh! Sorry. Quick go back and edit your post to delete that photo.
Patrick has you covered.
Yeah everyone reading this look at Patrick's photo not mine. Nothing to see here. Yep that should cover it.
When you first started taping it out for paint, I was like "okaaaaaaaaay....."
But I freakin' LOVE IT!
It's a nod to BRE, but your own take on it, and it really suits the car well! Great Jorb!

If it was slow, I’d go with parody. This is somewhere between caricature and tribute.
You are forcing me to step up my game significantly with the further refinement of this car.
Thanks. I think.
Don't worry, my new motorcycle project isn't distracting me too much from the important goal - winning the $2000 Challenge. I bled the brakes again after removing the bias valve and ran some errands to make sure everything is still awesome. It is. Very much so.
Something unbelievable also happened. I got complimented on my car by an actual real life unaffiliated with me woman. This whole time I thought cars only attracted other men.
Check out this close call with a curb. I also bottomed out on a parking lot entry. #LowLife
