I need a measurement. Im going to be setting the strut towers in the very near future and would like to get the spacing correct.
I just need the distance of the strut tower bolts. There is 3 on each tower, The single bolt would be fine since the others are slotted.
Much appreciated!
If no one gets it before i get home in 2 1/2 hours ill measure mine.
I tried, but C/C plates means mine doesn't match yours anymore.
I have three of them I can measure after work. Every one is on jack stands though...might make a difference.
mines on the ground but it was raining on it all evening and i kind of forgot. Ill see if i can get a measurement tomorrow. i know i posted a strut to strut measurement for someone a while back.
Thanks Fellas. Up on jack stands shouldn't matter since they are attaches to the inner fenderwells.
I went to pick a part last night and there were no fox bodys, just sn95s.
Looks to be 37 1/2. i just seen this again so i went out and measured. carb location on the i6 made it slightly annoying so if a second person wants to verify it go ahead!
In reply to dropstep:
Cool Thanks! Are you a Foo Fighter fan? Message me your address, Ill send you some swag.
Here's a shot of how I measured:
Hook it over the top of the single bolt on the passenger side and read the close (inboard) side of the single bolt on the driver side
Here are the results:
39 5/16". This is on an '89 Convertible.
38 3/16" This is on an '85 Convertible.
38 7/16" This is on my '83 Hatchback car.
Yeah i couldnt slant the tape. Mine was straight across from the d/s rear bolt to a straight edge off the front bolt on p/s. Thats why i figured a second opinion would help
Thanks Fellas! Perfect for me.
ClemSparks, Same deal. If you are a Foo Fighters Fan just shoot me your address and Ill send you some swag.
