Day trip towing, parts hauler and generally just freaking awesome to the maximum.

429 EFI engine, 5 speed manual, 2 speed rear, rust free, F350 bed on the frame.

Drives great but the suspension punishes you

These guys took this in trade for that home built truck hot rod on the S10 chassis with a V8, that was on a GRM thread a few weeks ago. They have built several GRM style rods and I hope I have brought them to the fold.

Is that thing actually going to get better mileage than Mongo after the transplant?

Transplant? I think he's keeping the 429 for now......

I meant the transplant for Mongo, I imagine the bus will get as good of mileage as this!

Mongo might do better. But driving a 35 foot bus 75 miles to pick up a project is no fun. Now I want an enclosed trailer

It is if you bring the party!

Holy E36 M3!

I can see testosterone dripping off my screen.

I was unaware that something like this even existed! It's like a 90s GMC Top Kick! I want one.

I don't want to like a truck that's so ridiculous and over the top for what I use a truck for (unlike yourself, I don't have a trailer to haul. Yet).

But it's awesome. If I stumbled into something like that around here I might have to take up part-time haulage to justify it...

Is that just a standard F-Series cab behind the giant front end? Specifically, the door trim is an easy junkyard score, no?

I'm once again reminded I really want one of these:

I believe the doors are the same and its just a widened smaller f-series cab that ford put on their medium f-series.

Steve, I called Hartley's and they didn't have any Buds Aluminum wheels there right now.

Dumb question, but how would that thing do with a 7.3L Powerstroke?

Awesome with powerstroke or the cummins but staying gas for now

The panels after the firewall including the cab, are all the same as any F150 or up.

A few leaves in the rear

 photo 2013-04-18_20-49-59_719_zps66c6fff6.jpg

Ran an extra ground off the bed, and connected the license plates lights.

Went over the truck, news is it is definitely a shortened frame probably was a dual axle unit at one time. The frame has been shortened professionally, very nicley done, diagonal joins, fantastic welding and a support patch.

Found a little rust on the bed, easy repair though.

Very good shape overall, a couple of small leaks, very clean and tidy for an old truck.
