That's looking nice.
My plan for the last 8 months or so for the Challenge has been to bring a little turbo, automatic Audi sedan that my dad picked up for pretty cheap. I checked in with him today to get him to sign up. He said he wasn’t really feeling it. Something with the brakes was acting up and he’s not real confident with it overall. Ok. News to me. So I jumped on the Marketplace to take a look. Literally the first ad was a $1900 mr2 spyder. I sent a message. Offered $1500 and 20 mins later I’m cruising an hour north to grab this multi-colored baby Ferrari. Despite the horrid looks, it drives great!
Cool! Looking forward to seeing you there! I'm not bringing a car myself this year, going with dad and my brother and we're bringing my brother's miata.

I will, for sure! I was there in 2017 with the Spitfire/Thunderbird, didn't realize you were there at the time.
Hangin stuff from the ceiling. Still powering the place with an extension cord though :/ only 2 of 12 lights currently powered - Barrina 8’ LEDs from amazon have juice!
Fan and lights, awesome! I added two exhaust fans at either end of my shop to get the hot air out. Made a huge difference. I'm really impressed by A) how much light 2 of those 8', 72w lights put out, and B) that all your cars can move out of the shop on their own power. Well done, Sir!
Great choice on those lights. I've had the 4' version of those up in my garage for almost two years now and they've yet to fail me (knock on wood).
In reply to hobiercr : the lights are incredible, especially for the price point! And I had the same thought about all of the cars currently being runners!

Sweet! Thanks for the light recommendation. I've about burnt though my case of H.O. 8' fluorescent tubes. Received the electric bill today; a good reminder to switch to LED's.
Celica seats in. Ragged soft top out.
The lack of carpet and a top takes me out of Gastropod. :( but that’s ok. I wanted to run stickier tires and see what this little thing can really do anyway.
And de-furioused the dash
Swapped on the miata stickies and pulled out some frunk junk. Gonna give it an autocross test run this weekend.
I don’t have much in the way of pics from last weekend’s rallyx, but the Firm hosted an amazing event! 4 or 5 different surfaces each run and 6 runs of about 3 minutes each! I was seeing nearly 80 mph in 3rd gear in the Ranger. It was like a mini stage rally and it was the coolest rallyx event I’ve ever done! There some awesome UTVs there and they were running a bit faster per stage than the cars
The MR2 is a smaller and more agile machine than almost anything out there. Anytime I’ve seen one in action at autocrosses, they’re up in the FTD battle. I decided to order some fresh A7s and see how well I can pilot it at the Challenge.
It did pretty well. I won my class. But it needs lower, needs more damping and needs more camber. It’s a handful on the edge. Rear end definitely wants to come around. I can see why staggerd wheel setups and wings are common.
correction, I did not win my class, but I got 37th out of 113 entries. Not too bad for a mostly stock, wallowy old spyder. I think with some tweaks, lightening, and slicks, it can be a contender.
Started rolling fenders and realized that was a wasted effort. So I cut that E36 M3 off.
Removed about 60 lbs worth of stock exhaust system and pieced together a much lighter and louder system with pieces of the old and a little cherry bomb laying around the shop!

So far it's a blast! Everything has been pretty cake. The exterior is now all 1 color!
gonna look real mean a few inches lower with black 15x9s and some fat Hoosier meat.
