looks like bulkhead connectors to run the lines inside the cockpit instead of underneath, and/or to a bias adjuster that's within driver's reach

An hose to bulkhead fittings. Way for me to make the system serviceable while maximizing brake line protection.

Am i making problems while trying to nuke proof it? Its tbe way it was setup when i bought it (but only a single master) and it seemed elegant.

It'll be fine as long as you consider bleed-ability in your routings. I just wasn't sure what I was looking at.

My thought was that as long as the master is highest point, id be ok.

Is that correct? Or one of those "technically correct, but in practice not really " things? Also, the braided hose needs to be about half the current lengths.

I would aim for the exit ports of the master being higher than all lines. And if your lines go low - high - low within a run, you want the high to be really short, so a pedal stroke of fluid can push through the entire high.

By high, you mean above the master outlet? Or higher than the rest of the run?

Today was the most fun iive had wrenching in a looong time. Truly a fantastic day with my family.

This project just went from "trudging the road to happy destiny " to "rocketed into the fourth dimension of joy and excitement"

Im going to try the c5 Corvette motor mounts i have here first, but i doubt they're going to work. Ill need to build the trans mount entirely from scratch. But, after mouts the last major hurdle to fit is exhaust. The truck manifolds don't work. Theres some swap long tubes on ebat for 100, or some block huggers for similar money. I could also try the Corvette or Camaro long tubes, but no guarantee and a lot more expensive. Just not sure what to do, but im leaning toward block huggers for the easy button even though they would be down on power in theory.

I've got a set of LS turbo headers I got from Racetruck Ron for $40. They're yours for the same price. You know you want hairdryers!

My late model has front and rear engine mounts and no rear crossmember.

Mine has no trans mount either, but after a snapped u-joint and bucking driveshaft likely helped crack my aluminum block, I will be scratch building one of those myself. It seems like a lot to be hanging off the back of the engine with no support.
Good to see blissful progress Michael.

This thing appears to have had a trans mount and two pedestal mounts originally. It'll be very similar when im done making stuff. Don't know how similar as i have no original mounts to compare to, but...

Im still giddy this morning. This is AWESOME.

Angry- would pressure bleeding mitigate the need for this?

Cool because the Lotus's clutch MC is the lowest point in the system lol

In reply to maschinenbau :

You might want to put a 2 psi check valve on the output of that clutch master. Otherwise the fluid downstream will gravitate toward the master and you might not achieve full release with just one stroke.

yes, phrasing.

Ive decided that the full update will wait until the engine and trans are firmly bolted in on the new mounts.

Mostly because work is nutso and my laptop is grumpy.

Started on the new trans mount this morning.

Goal is to have at least a half inch of movement fore/aft available to make drivetrain happy.

Also, any reason NOT to run solid engine mounts and a poly trans mount? I cannot think of one.
