Everyone has to, but its my vehicle.

So you drive as part of your job? Kinda puts a kink in the whole "play pinball on my phone" thing.

Technically- I am supposed to be able to transport clients. However given that I work when my clients are asleep, that is not likely to happen. If any of my clients need transport during my shift, they either need an ambulance or the police and either way they're not getting in my car.

BUILD CONTENT-

I love that I need to announce that. Anyhow- I have added a new task to the list. Seats. I have decided that while amazingly the ass cushioning is sufficient, the upper back support is severely lacking. It feels like the seat back ends a good 3 inches below my shoulders, and this can be uncomfortable unless I jam a shirt or something in there. So, seats. The good news is, the cad is pre- bolster airbags so I can put anything in without wiring concerns. The bad news is, I'm not a stick man, so many seats can be too narrow. I like corbeau a4 wides, but those aren't period correct. I'd love to find a set of vintage recaros with the manual bolster adjustment, but the last set of these I saw was in a Volvo wagon a friend of mine had and that car disappeared probably 15 years ago. Maybe there's something pimp and TRD out there.

Don't get me wrong, I heart demon cambers like whoa. The only problem is- they've been done on a miyuki. Granted mine will look like none other, but as sf1 put it, I'm not trying to jock anyone's style. I am putting serious thought into having the enkeis made mirror gold though.

Keep an eye on Fleabay. Old Recaros all over the joint on there. Oftentimes cheap. Like... "Sure i'll get those to put in the MX6" cheap.

And remember: A4s are just an upholstery job away from being "period correct."

Its not so much the color as it is the shape. Og recaros are blockier, if that makes sense.

Eh, its been done. The other thing I'm trying to do is expand on ideas and go places that no one else has gone.

By doing a rising sun graphic on it? LOL Never seen that before.

You have much to learn young one. If you think all IMA do is spray some red and white on it, I'm sorry to disappoint. The rising sun is but a template for what lies beneath.

As far as the seats, I'm leaning towards recaro sr3s at the moment.

Oh noes! I hit the dreaded page 2! I'm slacking off. Anyhow, I have met another grm member as a result of this automotive quest. Tj and I commiserated over burgers this afternoon. He had an Amish burger, I had one with ghost pepper cheese on it. The service was E36 M3, the food was good, the company was better. We laughed, we joked, we told work stories, I explained my no berkeleys given philosophy with this car.... It was a good time. Now on to the fun stuff. Its too cold out to do arts and crafts outside anymore, so now we have to plot winter working.

So, like, floor mats and E36 M3?

Oh I've already got blue type r floor mats. Its supah fast. No I mean more of a "what can I get away with on my winter beater in a winter state living In an apartment" there will likely be some light rewiring, I think I'm going to add a fused distro block because I'd like to run a sub line to the trunkal area eventually to beef up the tunes (nothing exotic, just.... 2-3000 watts....not really) but maybe a 4 channel or a couple 4 channels, run speakers to the rear doors get some components up front, a nice little sub (if I can find an older butyl surround Boston pro 10....) That sorta thing. The distro will also let me fuse out the driving lights without having to run spade clips off the battery cables with inline fuses, which while sufficient- can be cleaned up. Then there's the matter of the hood, the wheels, finding seats and a new steerimg wheel, something about TRD starlet flares... And so on. Plenty of work, more of a "what do I do first" scenario.

Miyuki has officially been introduced to a Minnesotans winter. She was prepared by the addition of a snow brush, as sky had pretty much had everything else.ready to go. I may add a shovel depending on the situation, but not likely. Other than that, she performs exactly as a 21 year old should, which is exceedingly well.not pictured is the ice on the roads and the stupid drivers in the ditches, since apparently eveyone that has ever heard of winter moves out every year and we get a new crop of drivers.
