17 hours, 522 miles, 4 inches of Georgia snow, and $1000 later, im home. Car is still on the trailer at Dallas house. We'll worry about it later. Too tired tonight.

Patrick: AFTER i keep all the stuff I want and need for my acr, i can zero it out. It has enough goodies i dont want or need to be worth way more in parts than as an actual car. Which is actually the case with most modified neons at this point.....

I only own one that was more than $300
That makes me happy
So, car is home. Cleaned out and somewhat cleaned up.
Its properly quick. Even with the wrong tire size.
Its honestly just what i want the acr to drive like.
Which brings me to the point of this post. The acr will not make it to the challenge as a challenge car. For it to be what I want to OWN, I'll be way over budget. I still want to bring a neon and do well though. And i believe that this is the neon to bring.
The car as purchased has a TON of goodies and good parts. Needs a lot of cleaning, sorting and cosmetic work. And weight reduction. I believe i can hit top 20 in half budget with it pretty easily.
The thing is that its a parts car. Its whole reason for existence is to get my acr back together. Which is a struggle for my brain.
When i get a chance in front of the computer, ill do a real post with pictures and prices and details. But, it's entirely possible that I bring this one this year.

Like we talked on the phone. Use it, take what you need, see what it needs to continue to be functional.

There are tons around Charlotte on Facebook. Be more than happy to help you get in one.
I miss my neons....I have a wrecked Caliber in the back with the 2.0L world engine...I think it would make the perfect donor for a new neon project...a first gen coupe with a 2.0(or 2.4) world engine and a 5 or 6 speed manual trans sounds like it could be fun

We talked about it also, I drove a 5 speed 2.0 world engine (father in laws) and it's sooooooo slow. From a 40 roll it's no faster than a sohc sedan.

Well that's no fun....maybe an AWD neon using Lancer running gear then? That's a world engine derivative too right?
We also found a HUGE ant infestation in the interior. Set off a fogger after folding half the rear seat down.
No bullE36 M3, the black ants were 1/4-1/2 inch long. Freaking HUGE.

Tomorrow. Letting the fogger kill all the little motherberkeleying shiny happy people it can till tomorrow afternoon.
