Insert Classy Pun against Miata Owners!

So I have always wanted a Miata ever since playing GT3 which sparked my love for the little 2 seater roaster. Finally after years of wanting one, bought one from my old employer.

Walaa Eli was born.

2001 NB Mazda Miata with 147000 miles. My toy for those sunny days and autocross on the weekends. Current Class ES.

Plans: Tires, Brakes, RUST(Rust in the typical Miata Spots)

Just kidding Great little cars, you should enjoy it for years to come. Know a few Miata owners and they hold on the them for ages.

In reply to physician: Thanks! Well the plans are keep it in the stock class but make it a little more competitive. I used to run HS and did ok, but ES it way more competitive.

Going to do tires, brakes, but definitely after the race Sunday dive into getting some of the rust fixed.

2nd Autocross for the Miata (my 3rd Autox) went very well.

ES was basically all miatas except our token fiat. 7th outta 9, not bad for a novice on all seasons.
Better news beat my 2 friends in PAX, doesnt say much but a shallow victory haha!

If you have rocker rust you should check the front frame horns carefully. The area from the shock mounts forward to the radiator is a water trap on NB Miatas.

Thanks Mr. Clutch!

Next plan is to finally do the rotors and pads, pictures to follow! First time attempting this, should be interesting

Well Operation replace rotors and pads was a complete disaster!

The front pads and rotors went without error, so moving to the rear the Mazda Hex Screw wouldn't back out the piston. I think my calipers are shot but after some more research going to tackle it again will keep everyone posted!

UPDATE!

Ran an autocross with the Porsche Club in my area! Corners were from worlds greatest F1 tracks which was quite an awesome time. Thinking about renaming the car to Beater MX5. It def needs better tires summers, and finishing up with the rear brakes and a full tune up. Other than that I was pretty happy with how it ran minus terrible traction haha!

It didn't go where you wanted it to. Instead it tried to steer to the nearest hair salon
