Day 151 - July 23, 2018
Added slots to oil pan baffle tray to allow oild drain back.
It was around this time that we found out that the drag race was not going to be held at the challenge. This was when we decided to put some non budget items on the car.
Day 153 - August 14, 2018
Installed rear. Assembled wilwood brakes.
I was thinking today. You can't beat the budget builders out of us. The brakes were bought off of the Summit clearance rack. The steering column you will see later was purchased with certificates we got from race wins. Even though we are not building it for the challenge, it is still a budget built car.
A budget built car that we hope will compete with cars built with 10 times the money.
Alright I owe you guys 2 updates.
Day 156 - August 28, 2018
Pulled mock engine and transmission. Installed 5.3L and TH400
After we reveled that the Nova was no longer longer a challenge car, I kind of stopped posting updates. Needless to say, the car got done. Here is the fastest pass from over the weekend.
From the outside it’s kinda ho-hum. The inside shot tells a different story, at least for the first couple hundred feet. Very cool. Congrats on the low 9s.

My dad probably has a more exact number. If I had to guess it is probably around $5k
Sorry for the one drag pass.
Not sorry (and surprised while NOT surprised) by the awesome display of power and the awesome show!
