Maybe they hacked the timing software. Pretty impressive, and good job with your car too.

The Shelby and the AMG GT were driven by rich newbies who were both in WAY over their heads skill wise. I'm mostly impressed they didn't crash, because that's usually what newbies in fast cars do.
The Rio is legit, however. Slicks, almost 300 hp, barely 2,000 lbs. It's a real race car. The Gen Coupe was also on Hoosiers.
Related note, I think I need Hoosiers.
300hp Rio? That sounds like a riot!
How much of your track time is spent in the upper rpms, and are you still getting wheelspin there? I'd be considering a smaller a/r turbine housing..

I made friends with the owner of the Rio and I'm gonna try really hard to bum a ride.
This track in particular had me spending a lot of time between second and third. I tried left foot braking but that only helped so much.
Wheel spin was much better. A little through second, none in third.
Agreed, I'm looking for different housing/whole different turbo right now. This one is a drag dyno queen .82 ar.
I watched the first half before I was interrupted by work (I know right?).
Your second stint looked like you were much quicker and looked good to me.
Have you figured out the electrical issue yet? You said the gauges quit on you? What are the other symptoms maybe I can help.

Thanks man, I hope you enjoyed it.
My electrical gremlins are kind of all over the place.
I lost the folding mirrors, speedo and winsheild wipers along with the ability to rev over 5500 rpm. This stuff all disappeared at the same time and it all came back yesterday, all at thebsame time.
I suspect I need to check some ground wires.
I have a feeling you're right about a ground issue. Using the U.S. version wiring manual it looks to be that ground G20 is common between the vehicle speed sensor, gauges, and wipers. I don't think the U.S. cars ever had power folding mirrors so that is not listed. Ground G20 is on the inner "frame" rail just below the brake master cylinder. I would recommend pulling it and cleaning it even if it's tight as we had issues with corrosion and paint adversely affecting grounds during the 2000's.
Just took the car on a 400 mile trip to Seoul, around and back. I did this in scorching weather, in traffic jams, up and down hills and never even worried about it.
Not bad for a 15 year old car with a racing clutch aftermarket turbo and double stock power.
