Shop equipment maintenance, repairs and upgrades

I have had an idea that may or may not be clever. I'm gonna try it either way.

Starting with this

No more teeth 

1/8"X8" disc fresh off the plasma table at the steel yard.

I think you can see where I am heading here. 

There is a spot on that jackshaft where I intend to put this. 

Next step is to decide which caliper to use and how to mount it, then work out a foot pedal with either a cable or linkage to make the magic happen.

Car of the day

This Dino 246gt is in for an engine out service. 

Hawt damn what a car. 

My favorite detail is the door handles. So delicate, so perfect

I don't think I've ever seen a Dino in a color other than yellow or red before. That blue really makes the car pop! I love the upholstery on the seats too. 

What does an engine-out service entail on one of these?

The engine bay is not as clean as the rest of the car and it is due for timing belts so engine out, paint and detail, any service work and back together

There is a light blue one in town here, it looks amazing
