This is awesome, keep it up man.

Thanks! Im trying, running out of energy! 8 hours at work, an hour at the gym, and all the time after dinner goes to the truck....

Thanks Dave, I follow your hill climber thread too! We need more bug pics
Late night last night... Didn't take many pics.
Finished up the floor
Kitchen cabinet in (well mostly in...)
About 30 hours till departure....ouy
Got home before dark. outside shot! Will need some air in the bags...
Switches actually running the lights! 12v meter and two usb ports there as well
rats nest.....
Pooper placement confirmed
Black walnut scraps for sink infill cutting board
Ok Saturday was a thrash to get out of town. Truck worked great! I set the cruise for 55 up the pass and it just pulled. I am not used to that much power. It would have done 65 I would think easily.... Ran about 30psi boost going up, spiked to a bit more than that on occasion. MPG gauge said 8.1 when I got home, it was reading around 6 when we left.
pooper in
Prototype ski storage
Temp counter in
Bed done, after the first night, im really happy with the Amazon memory foam mattress. so cushy
Temp cooking
Stairs work well
What its all about!!!
A little more progress last night. Gas strut installed on the bed. Only ended up needing one. Seems to work just fine.
Pretty decent storage access. I may put a divider in to keep things from migrating towards the back...
Poop tank valve going on. What a huge PITA. When the company wants to sell you a bag of abs shavings just buy it.... I spent a long time with a piece of pipe and a paddle bit making shavings. I didnt realize how much it would take....
mmmm goobery
You generally want a 25% "safety" margin on an inverter. So if you have a coffeemaker that draws 1,260W, I would look for a 1,500-W inverter.
In reply to Sky_Render:
Thanks! I plugged it into my kill a watt. It cycles on and off rapidly, 1100 ish watts to 3 watts to 1100 to 3 every 2-3 seconds while heating. Draws 1253 when making the coffee which takes ~30 seconds.
Im hoping mine will do that.... Its supposed to be able to supply 200% for short periods of time.
Its not installed yet though
Supplying double the rated current may reduce the lifespan of the inverter. Make sure you install in a place that has a lot of airflow.

Very true, its got a fan and Ill leave it space. It wont be doing much more than its max I hope. Need to get it going soon as its my battery charger as well

Thanks! Its one I have been dreaming of for a long time.
Child safety device in place.
Now back to the heater. I couldn't get it to pull gas from the boat tank. After pulling the tank apart I think the pickup tube was just too big for the little pulse pump. It was 3/8" ish tube. So heat gun and a piece of 3/16 and wa la, new in tank pickup.
Since I haven't gotten a chance to install the tank yet.... ghetto rigging ensures. Luckily this is all very low pressure.
It works!! Box got to 70 in a couple minutes.... Too hot.
Exhaust location since I dont think I ever posted this. No smoke or smell on kerosene.
Not about that ticking fuel pump. Its loud (mounted to the wood spacer above the frame rail in a rubber P clamp). This will need some googling.
They are loud and from working with them some make sure you pay attention to the mounting angles to keep them happy. The clicking is usually the main way I know the system is up and running.

Its mounted horizontally, I thinks that ok yes??
I did some reading, Webasto sells a "quieting" kit now. Big rubber mount instead of the P clamp.
Also found Sure Marine sells this as a fuel pump mount. That ought to help! And it looks just like a quickfist clamp to me, and I have one of those in the garage, somewhere....
Internets say wrapping it in a beer koozie helps too
The pump instructions had something about keeping either inlet or outlet pointed slightly up, but in the end anything near horizontal works. Since they are fuel cooled and externally mounted in the cold it does seem like you could insulate it pretty well and not burn it up.
We inadvertently did a test this weekend and the heater will run around 13 hours off a charged battery, bringing it down to 10 volts in our case.
In reply to GhiaMonster:
OK cool, I didn't remember seeing anything on pump angle in the install book.
I'm glad you tested it not me
You simply cannot loose it in a parking lot....
But hitting the store means we are going out of town!
Munchkin seat, installed.
Got an idea to quiet down the fuel pump, quick fist to the rescue. Definitely helped.
Headed out for the night
Parking for the night
Even got some work done while we were gone, added a hand rail
Ugh too much rain!! Heavy truck sinks...
So I was worried we had too little heat... Not the case at all. My God. Thermostat tells the heater to turn off, and it then goes into cool down which turns the burner off but leaves the fan on for a couple more minutes to cool the flame chamber, which drives the temp even higher.
If it works like a household furnace you need to turn down the "anticipator" adjustment on the thermostat so it cuts out earlier.
