Unfortunately, yes. Im Italian.
In other, less threadjacking news, i got a free shift boot today. Out of a loaded on the trailer for scrap geo tracker. One less part to buy.
Anyone have any experience with fiberglassing onto fenders? Seems like the easiest and best way to connect the dots when i make the flares on this. Scca didn't lime the radiused wheelwells.
OK, so I will give my impressions of the car at the autocross this past weekend...
I volunteered/drew the short straw to drive first.
Keep in mind the tires still had pickup from the previous owners late model asphalt race.
And there may have been some tire shine on the tread in some spots.
Also, I have not autocrossed in maybe twenty years.
And one more disclaimer, I have not had any seat time in this car other than while building it.
Okay enough excuses...
The first outing was what you might expect, a smile inducing adrenaline rush of noise and speed. Well sort of, I was a little ragged with throttle and brake application, but it sure was fun. I did reminded myself to slow down after crossing the finish lights.
The next few runs actually started to get some heat into the tires and scrub some of the old rubber off the tread. By the third and fourth runs the tires were cleaned up and my runs were smoother. The car was fairly neutral at the high speed sections and I had dropped nearly 5 seconds for the first run (on a 75-ish second course). Apparently I tickled a few cones, but didn't knock them out of the boxes, so I must have a good feel for where the corners are at. The best part is that the car survived me to let Dallas and Mike get some runs.
I'll let them give their impressions in their posts.

Did I miss something about the trans? I haven't watched the group run yet. Did you get 2nd gear synchromesh fixed? Surprised that you have a hydraulic clutch on this car. I must have missed a memo or two...
I know everyone is geeked 'bout the cone slayfest, but the shots of the crew chief with her Dad are way to precious, please let all of us remember the reason we all do what we do ..........peace out
Can someone post a link...having trouble on my mobile. Thanks

Thats dallas and my daughter in that picture. Dallas kids are a few pages back. No pictures of steves kids yet.
But family comes first. End of story. If it was the day before the challenge, and my family needed me, i would bail to be there for them. Dallas and Steve too.

I knew about the Ford 3.03 trans, I must have missed the AMC juice clutch setup, super cool that it works, or at least did. Good luck with further repairs and development!
So I ment to say what part of the Driveability cuold be improved and what 'Xactly did break.
Clutch gave up. Started overheating. Ran like poo hot. Carb needs tuned. Need rear sway bar. Driver seat is too big. Driveshaft hits safety loop. Fluid leaks at engine and trans. Driver needs a LOT of work. There was another 10 seconds in the car, just not enough driver.
Oil pressure gauge leaks. Need shift boot. Shift linkage needs more work, it was like stirring latex paint at the end of the day. Gauge cowl needa fastened.
I have a good pressure plate but the Clutch is from a large shaft toploader/Le Mons trans. don't know if your truck trans is the same size input shaft, So is the rad. too small/no fan( I have several electric fans) Is the carb too lean,do a plug check(that can help it overheat) are the seals leaking or Oil staying in the valve cover/comeing out breather. does it Under steer or Lean too much/Sway bar/springs. Oil pressure gauge or compression fitting or line leak? I have an alum. seat Butt is 22" wide measure yours/add hard foam to yours.

I got the mental image of Dusterbd13 trying to read the tape measurer while measuring his butt.
OMG..... took a minuit to quit laffin' BUTT that's Funny right there. OK to be Sure just measure the SEAT bottom side to side. Man ya'll ain't right.
For some reason I'm strangely nervous than Stampy was thinking about my ass
