Always nice to see updates on this!!
First coat of primer. Took a whole gallon, so I need to grab some more. I thought it would go farther than it did.
Looking good!
Can't remember what color you chose, but I think I'll be pleasantly surprised with your choice.

So close , yet so far! I've got a ton of block sanding to do, and probably at. Least one more coat of high build primer.
Tons of work left, but I can't resist playing with some details. Since the chassis is an automatic, I'm trying to make it look more like a manual without actually making it a manual. Off comes the 80's "T" handle and on goes a wooden knob.
Body panels are in their final location. Clam shell Quick Latches are in place. Envisioning the roll hoop.

No kidding! I look at some of the big old sheet metal in older cars and think that I wouldn't even want to wash it, let alone do the bodywork!

Take a look at what AxeHealey did on his car:
I'd try and duplicate something like that. Here's a link to his build.

Yes. That is very much like what I have in mind. My challenge is how to attach it to the body. Do I put tabs on the piece that I've started with, or a second strip that follows the contour of the windscreen and the contour of the hood. If I do tabs do I put them in front or behind the frame. Mount the Lexan in front of or behind the bracket? Etc, Etc.
