A place of honor in front of the rowdy Audi parking spot!
It was great catching up today dude.
Oh and I got a ride in the Holden too! GM does make a fine V8 motor car. Fair trade in my mind, key fob for quick rip.
I really dig the Holden emblems.
before:
and after:
also got rid of the SS badges front and rear. Now there's just the bow tie on the steering wheel airbag and the SS stitching on dash and seats. Won't be changing any of them.
front view, before:
and after (same car, different lighting and distance from lens):
The badge mounting areas are different between Holden and Chevy grilles, so we had to change the grille as well. A chrome LS3 badge replaces the white SS on the fascia. I didn't like the gold bow tie and the white SS. Now the badges and the other trim are all chrome, which I think looks a lot cleaner.
Update without photos: SSheila's odometer hit 44k yesterday, and Belle Tire patched a screw hole in the right rear tire for free, which is nice.
3BABY9 brings it. Literally. That's a medium frame 26er, and the back seat does not fold down. Headed to Michigan Tech for Parents Weekend, and AK2 asked if I could bring her MtB.
I'm totally amazed at how much space is in this car to throw things. I've already slammed two entire wheelsets in the car!
Mi Tech. What is it doing in the UP? Passed through there when I vacationed the UP. Noticed Michigan Tech, The Big Chicken and Tampa, FL are all on US 41!
A contingent of MT cyclists would ride 41 to Tampa every summer, right by my bike store.
Mackinac Bridge on I-75, connecting Michigan's Lower and Upper Peninsulas. Lake Michigan on the left, Lake Huron on the right.
Same spot I grabbed a pic of the Rowdy Audi back in August.
The last wee bit of daylight, from our AirBnB on the shore of Lake Superior, near Hancock MI.

That's what AW told me. Haven't seen any yet tonight, don't think I'll be awake much longer.
I almost set myself up for a parking ticket today when I typed 3BABY9 into the meter app. Caught myself just before hitting send.

I'm pretty sure that's third out of six gears.
Yes, 3rd of 6. The MT cars have a 3.70:1 rear axle.

whoops, got it. I thought we were talking about a 97mph total speed limiter lol

That's what I read at first too, I figured it was some silly metric number that the Aussies left hardcoded in the calibration. 97mph in third would be 6500rpm (assuming stock tire size) which jives with stock LS3.
Fresh from my detail guy. This guy hits it out of the park every time. He makes the door jambs shine like the exterior.
