What's the deal I've been trying to respond but it wouldn't let me

Well my question was is it possible to use the adhesive to "glue" on braces, in particular fender braces and rear seat xbraces. As an alternative to bolting them on or in conjunction.

 

I was trying to post a longer response with some pictures but it wouldn't let me post.

Here's a side view of a similar thunderbird to mine. I was think a brace along the lines of the second brace I posted, underneath the frame. I'd be able to chop up the metal to the dimensions I need and getting it welded at the local muffler shop. I think the key for good adhesion is to make the plates as big as possible for the added surface area to adher too. 

 

Am I tripping on this venture?
