I remember stumbling upon this Jeep a couple years ago on the interwebs. I seem to recall reading somewhere that this is what happens when the rules say the car "has to keep the original wheelbase" but not much else.
I like it, I like it a lot.

From the crew of one crazy autocrossing Jeep to another.. Welcome to GRM!
Your Jeep is INSANE. I like it.

Thank you, Adrian, for this hotlink. When I typed in my link, the forum would not make it a hot link. I freely admit that I am not nearly the best when it comes to the internet. I will be adding updates as soon as the final stage (software upgrade and corner weighing) is accomplished. It will be competing very soon.

In reply to SilverFleet: I bet that you could run this in the new SCCA solo class called "Classic American Muscle" (CAM). Have fun, Jim.
Corner weighing has been done and no ballast is needed for a 190lb driver - minimum with driver is 1,750lbs. The past several weeks have been trying to download the upgrade software that will allow us to do our own mapping - wrong cable, wrong firmware, wrong files, etc are driving us crazy. We will try again tomorrow.
The Trifecta software with HP Tuning layered into it has now been successfully downloaded and is working. Next up is fuel mapping runs.
The latest update from Chris Phillips:

"Here's a little video of the test & tuning we did. The jeep is much more powerful on the current 15psi boost setting than it was last year on 21psi and we have the ability to go up to about 30psi. It pulls strong to redline or as close to redline as we could get in the short space that we had, not dropping off in power like it used to at 5500rpm - current redline is 7500. Unfortunately, the O2 sensor is bad and we could not fully dial it in but are ordering one tomorrow. I will install it and check to make sure it is working properly and once verified, we will finish tuning on the Saturday T'n'T down at Moultrie or Sunday, 6/26. You guys are going to love it!!!!"
With the rod knock stopping us at the last event and no time to fix this problem and upgrade the oiling system I have reluctantly decided to withdraw the Jeep from the Solo Nationals. Once Dan's shop is available, the Jeep will be worked on at that time. We will pick up the pieces and keep going . . . . . sigh. This will be one of the only times I will miss the Solo Nationals in about 30 years.
