I have my own business and 2 kids, the best answer for deals is whatever craigslist or letgo show me on Saturday morning, eBay  china brand, or summit clearance rack every few months.

Didn’t even think about that, passenger foot carpet wasn’t pulled back so it’s still there.  I thought the cobb thing was a handheld deal?  My bugeye is 99.8% stock so I don’t know anything about subaru tuners.  

Got front seats from an 02 impreza outback, foglight from the blue wrx, and something i needed.

I have accomplished something that I’ve been dreading.  Minus a couple brackets to actually hold the radiator, I made the “core support” that bolts on for easy removal

sometimes i need to remind myself that gassers weren’t show cars, and they were built for one thing.  I’ve seen original cars, most were rough around the edges and there was more angle iron than tube.

I have a wedding this December on a Thursday... I thought the Friday wedding I went to a few years ago was dumb.. This was a new level.. 

I dumped some fluids when I inverted the engine, luckily I have some product from one of the sponsors of the challenge.

(Am I doing this right?)

Your lines aren't straight and too thick. 

If you have 10 minutes, use 10 minutes mocking up an old maybe works water pump drive motor

That picture makes me smile. Is that an alternator? Or remote water pump?

Ancient  moroso water pump drive motor so the engine doesn’t have to waste power spinning the pump.  When you’re building a mild little ~330hp small block you need as little parasitic loss as possible

Taking carli in for a biopsy now, maybe get some more assembly lube while I’m out so i can put the pushrods and rockers on for good and install the intake/distributor and adjust the valves.  Then i can install the balancer and start imagining an alternator bracket.  I think the alternator doesn’t care if it’s backwards, right?  I remember some of the old c4 vette blower kits mounting the alternator with the body toward the front of the car for clearance.  Want it to be low and out of the way because I’m going for super clean here

Alternator dont care, but the cooling fan behind the pulley does.
