This is truly the stuff dreams are made of, my god
Well its finally done, Passed DMV and have been driving for awhile, still cant get this grin off my face. It is everything and more then advertised, My neighbor came for a ride and all he kept saying was "this thing wants to be unleased".
In reply to Thinkkker: Yes, Evolution was released as I was passing DMV autocrime inspection. But, You can upgrade existing Ultima to Evolution spec. Same car and chassis, different dress. Budget north of 100k, once you get started it just seems to escalating, added traction control, fuel cells, sat radio/navigation, upgraded harness etc.
If I were wearing a hat right now, I'd take it off in your honor.
We need more pics of the completed car. Looks amazing from what you posted already.
I hope you invested in some clecos for all the panel drilling. Fantastic grassroots (don't let anyone try to tell you it's not) build.
You can't just leave cropped picture like that. We need some biggie size full-view pictures.
Clearly, you are a "detail" man. Let us live even more vicariously through you with some full view pictures, please?
In reply to 2002maniac: 500 cleco's used, 7 tubes of panel sealant, 4 cans of inner frame sealant. If I see another rivet or can of sealant again, I'll scream
In reply to SkinnyG: Finishing Wrap work this weekend, Promise to post full size pics once the photo shoot for the Wrap company is done.
Wow. Just.. wow... It's like having your own street legal 962 or Lola T600, with AC. And apparently some kind of vestigal passenger seat to allow you to scare the crap out of people while maintaining a comfortable cabin temperature.
I doff my proverbial cap to you, sir!
I have a short video of it running, so here is the direct link or if someone can tell me how to upload a video I will. http://vid995.photobucket.com/albums/af80/rscocca/Ultima%20GTR/00070_mpeg2video.mp4 Copy and paste above in browser and enjoy. don't forget to TURN UP SPEAKERS
In reply to java230:
It looks like he has left the wipers off. See the splined wiper shafts just below the windshield?
Thanks for posting! I bet it's a great feeling to be out driving it after all the time spent putting it together.
