Brings back memories. Steve the hot rod guy in my neighborhood sold his 1927 T roadster with the Flathead V8 and bought a Shoebox. Up front the Flathead was replaced with a 270 Offy. Back wheel wells were radiused exposing the recapped slicks. Used a Cad La Salle gearbox.
something about the pictures seems strange. Either way Ive always wanted one. The grill and the taillights were always my favorite
The term "barn find" is not correct from the way this looks. This looks like a project that has been abandoned because the rust is worse than anticipated.

Probably because they deviated from the typical craigslist picture process, which is:
Step 1. Wait until it is night time (preferably raining or foggy)
Step 2. Stand either way too close, or way too far from the car
Step 3. Take a few blurry pictures of the exterior, but - and this is critical - make sure no more than 50% of the car is visible in any one picture.

Step 4. Take a picture of the electronic dash, like others do, but don't turn the key on, 'cause ya don't have a clue.
Step 5. List it as a totally different year than what the picture shows
